EMORY RIVER WATERSHED
| The Emory River watershed contains parts of Cumberland, Fentress, Morgan and Roane Counties and drains 872 square miles before emptying into Fort Loudoun Reservoir (Tennessee River). Cattle and tobacco farms dot the landscape along with some abandoned coal mines and oil and natural gas wells. Recreational boating and hunting are popular in the watershed. Parts of Clear Creek, Daddys Creek, the Emory River and the Obed River are part of the National Wild and Scenic River System. |
