PICKWICK LAKE WATERSHED

The Pickwick Lake watershed contains parts of Hardin, Lawrence and Wayne Counties and drains 639 square miles. The watershed is home to a mixture of heavy and light industry, logging and agriculture. Pickwick Lake, maintained by TVA, is a popular recreation area for boaters and anglers. watershed map

Pickwick Landing was the name of an early settlement in the watershed. Its name was assigned by an early postmaster whose favorite book was The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens.
