RED RIVER WATERSHED

The Red River watershed is composed of parts of Montgomery, Robertson, Stewart and Sumner Counties and drains 767 square miles before emptying into the Cumberland River. Located along the Kentucky border in middle Tennessee, much of the land is in agricultural use, with some light industry and urban growth present. Proximity to several major metropolitan areas and the pastoral nature of the watershed make it popular among recreational boaters.
