WILLIAMSON COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED FOR TENNCARE FRAUDNASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Williamson County woman is charged with TennCare prescription drug fraud. The Office of Inspector General (OIG) today announced the arrest of Regina Pitts, 48, of Fairview. Pitts was arrested today for TennCare fraud and attempting to obtain
a controlled substance by fraud. The arrest warrant alleges Pitts
called a Fairview pharmacy to fill her deceased grandmother’s
prescriptions for two anti-depressants (Mirtazapine and Diazepam)
at the expense of TennCare. The TennCare fraud charges are Class E felonies that carry a penalty of up to two years in prison for each charge. The controlled substance charge is a Class D felony that carries a penalty of up to four years in prison. District Attorney General Ronald Davis is prosecuting.
