IT Project Management

- Our Primary Mission:
- To ensure successful implementation of our customers’ Information
Technology and other major projects by the application of excellent
project management and information technology knowledge, skills,
tools and techniques across a broad range of project activities.
- Primary Objectives to Serve the Customer:

- To initiate, plan, execute, control and close tasks on
projects we manage on time and within budget.
- Provide support in the Project Knowledge Areas of Project
Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time
Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management,
Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management,
and Project Procurement Management.
- Specific Targets for Improvement or Achievement in the Year
Ahead:
-
- Deliver completed projects on time and within budget.
- Participate in the joint development for Project Manager Training
initiative scheduled for this year.
- Master our use of existing Project Management tools and techniques
while researching new tools, techniques and concepts to continuously
improve project delivery.
- Provide objective feedback and regular status reports on projects
to enable management to take appropriate corrective action
where necessary.
- New Projects:

- Implement a decision support solution for the Bureau of TennCare
- Implement the new Regulatory Board System for the Departments
of Health, Commerce & Insurance and Financial Institutions
- Implement the Department of Safety’s Title and Registration
User System for Tennessee (TRUST).
- Develop a Request for Proposal for the
implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application.
- Implement the replacement UCC system for the Secretary of
State.
- Work with the Department of Human Services on the development
of an RFP, procurement, and implementation of a replacement
of their existing ACCENT system.
- Upgrade the Health Information System in use at MHDD.
