- Our Primary Mission:
- To provide sound financial management, and accurate and timely
cost analyses for the Office for Information Resources (OIR) while
providing outstanding services to our customers at fair and equitable
rates.
- Primary Objectives to Serve the Customer:

- Provide accurate and timely information to make sound business
decisions based on data.
- Ensure that timely, detailed cost justification
exists for all rates charged by OIR
- Ensure all costs and revenues are appropriately
classified in STARS.
- Monitor OIR expenditures to ensure that funds are
expended wisely and judiciously and consistent with
OIR’s
budget
- Provide accurate OIR billing projections to agencies
in determining their budgetary needs
.
- Construct an annual budget that provides OIR the
resources it needs to provide quality service to its customers.
- Bill services timely.
- Specific Targets for Improvement or Achievement:

- Modify the current cost allocation accounting structure to
accurately reflect the services provided under the new OIR
re-organization.
- Analyze the current rate structure, and where appropriate,
make recommendations directed at improving direct and indirect
cost recovery.

Increase management involvement in the Budget Process.
- Increase customer knowledge of OIR rates and the rate setting
process.
- Increase to OIR Management the availability of budget and
accounting information
- Increase awareness throughout OIR of the importance of cost
recovery and billing.
- Examine the feasibility of simplifying OIR’s accounting,
billing and rate structures.
