The Publications Program was established by an Act of the state legislature for the
purpose of managing the cost and proliferation of publications printed by state Agencies.
Records Management, a Division in the Department of General Services is tasked with
providing administrative and management support to the Publications Committee and its staff.
The Division, through the Publications Coordinator, carries out the administrative directives
of the Publications Committee. Each state Agency appoints a Publications Liaison with the
responsibility of facilitating the publication authorization process through the application
of established (promulgated) Rules, policies and guidelines with the goal of obtaining the
most cost effective publications while meeting Agency needs.
