Metering Services

Metering Services began operation in November 1972. The staff of Metering Services is responsible for the application of postage on outgoing U.S. Mail. Operators process all classes of mail according to U.S. Postal Services Rules and Regulations. This unit processes mail for all state departments and its agencies located in Davidson County. Currently, there are over 1100 accounts established for mail charges.

The U.S. Postal Service picks-up metered mail from the Central Mailroom at 11:50 AM and 4:10 PM.
