The Knoxville Complex is responsible for 57 facilities in 14 counties in central East Tennessee. Complex offices are located in the Knoxville State Office Building, which was originally built for the 1982 World’s Fair. The building was purchased by the state in 1987 to allow centralization of services and provide a focal point for state functions in the area.
