Dr. Amos Raymond is Deputy Chief at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center Emergency Department in Memphis, TN. In his role, Dr. Raymond is honored to serve our nation's veterans and has been involved in teaching students, process improvement projects and directing operational management and staffing related issues. Prior to his work at the VA Medical Center, he served as hospitalist at Lakeside Behavioral Health which afforded him intimate knowledge of the needs of the chronically mentally ill and the conviction to advocate for vulnerable populations. In the community, Dr. Raymond is actively involved in various endeavors including working at his local church, participating in the Community Justice Panel led by Shelby County District Attorney's Office, and holding position on various boards including Hope House Memphis, Physician Assistants of Color, Project SiSi, and the Memphis Mental Health Institute.
