Tennessee Human Rights Commission 2022 Annual Report Released

The Tennessee Human Rights Board of Commissioner’s voted to approve the agency’s fiscal year 2022 annual report at its August 26 Commission meeting. The full annual report is available here.

The report details statistical information, education and outreach activities, and enforcement outcomes designed to safeguard individuals from discrimination through education and enforcement.

“I am honored to share the annual report on behalf of the Tennessee Human Rights Commission. I invite citizens of Tennessee to review and learn about the continued work of the Commission and our mission,” said Muriel Malone Nolen, THRC Executive Director.

The Commission's role is to enforce the state’s anti-discrimination laws which prohibit discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodation based on race, creed, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age (40 and over in employment), familial status (housing only) and retaliation in employment, housing and public accommodations and coordinate compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It is the mission of the Commission to safeguard individuals from discrimination through education and enforcement.
