SCAM ALERT – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)


The Department of Human Services (DHS) has been alerted of an email scam that tells current food stamp recipients that the program has undergone several changes, including being renamed to SNAP and there being an increase in benefits. The email asks for the Social Security Number of recipients as well as other identifying information to continue benefits.


Please do not respond to this email. This email is not from DHS. DHS does not request personal information by email.
