RESIDENTS OF INSTITUTIONS

(a) An individual is considered a resident of an institution when the institution provides the majority (over 50%) of his or her meals as a part of the institution’s normal services, and the institution is not authorized to accept Food Stamp benefits. 1. Narcotic addicts or alcoholics who reside at a drug or alcoholic treatment center in order to participate in a treatment program (Refer to Section 1240-1-31-.01). 2. Disabled or blind individuals who are residents of a group living arrangement and who receive benefits under Title II (RSDI) or Title XVI (SSI) of the Social Security Act. (Refer to Section 1240-1-31-.02). 3. Residents of shelters for battered women and children (Refer to Section 1240-1-31-.03). 4. Residents of non-profit shelters that provide meals to the homeless (Refer to Section 1240-1-31-.04). |
