WHEN A FOOD STAMP HOUSEHOLD MOVES OUT OF THE STATE |
|
1240-1-19-.12 |
When the county learns that a household has moved out of the state of Tennessee, take prompt action to close the case. If the household contacts the county about food stamp benefits that remain in their EBT account in Tennessee, determine if the household has moved to a state that is part of the Southern Alliance of States (SAS). If they are now resident in such a state, they may use the Tennessee Benefit Security Card in that state. If the current state of residence is not a SAS state, the remaining food stamp benefits may be converted to coupons by following the procedures outlined in Section 5 of the Benefit Issuance Manual. |
