Vocational Evaluation

Vocational Evaluation services are designed to help individuals discover their personal vocational interests, strengths and weaknesses as well as to determine the type of jobs or training in which they could perform best. The program provides a comprehensive evaluation of vocational interests, aptitudes, abilities, and readiness for employment. Together, client and vocational evaluator will develop a plan of detailed assessment of the client's abilities.

To be evaluated at TRC, the client must be referred by his/her vocational rehabilitation counselor. Once TRC Admissions office has received the application and the client has been accepted, the client will be scheduled for services at the first available opening.

MOBILE VOCATIONAL EVALUATION
Mobile vocational evaluations are designed to provide an assessment of an individual's vocational abilities and needs within the home community where vocational evaluation services are not available or difficult to obtain. These services are delivered at a convenient location for the individual within their hometown area.

Anyone that is interested in receiving a mobile vocational evaluation should contact the nearest local office of the Division of Rehabilitation Services. Once it has been determined that a mobile vocational evaluation is needed, the local rehabilitation counselor will submit an application for services along with referral information to the mobile vocational evaluator at the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center. The evaluator will then schedule a convenient time to travel to the applicant's home community to conduct the mobile evaluation.
