Vision Impairment Services

Vision Impairment Services teach skills necessary for individuals who are visually impaired to lead independent, productive lives at home and in the work environment. Services provided include the following:

• Orientation Mobility
• Braille
• Communications
• Adaptive Kitchen Skills

Tennessee School for the Blind
Americans with Disabilities Act Document Center contains the ADA statute, regulations, Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines, federally reviewed tech sheets, and other assistance documents.
Duxbury System, Inc. - links to other sites
Enabling Technologies is the leading manufacturer of braille embossers and moves to meet the demands of growth.
Royal National Institute for the Blind is concerned with influencing the design of equipment and systems for the general public such that they are accessible by visually disabled persons, and influencing the development of relevant standards.
