This crossmatch is used to detect differences in the wages and earnings reported.

Report all your wages, when earned, even if you have not yet received earnings.
If you are unsure how to report your wages, contact your local office for instructions.

If a discrepancy between earnings you reported and earnings your employer reported is detected:

1. You will be notified of the possible overpayment.
2. A hearing will be scheduled, giving you an opportunity to appear and give testimony on your behalf.
3. A decision will than be issued. The decision will state the amount of overpayment, if any, and your appeal rights and procedures for filing an appeal.
