Parsons To Hold Area Jobs Fair More than 20 employers plan to take part NASHVILLE - The first Parsons Jobs and Training Expo will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Community South Bank in Parsons. Job seekers should arrive no later than 3:30 p.m. "If you're looking for a new job or career change, this is the place to be," said Eddie Akins, manager for the Lexington office of the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development. "Employers from area counties including Carroll, Decatur, Henderson, and Perry will be taking applications and interviewing for various job openings and talking with prospective employees about wage scales and company benefits." Akins said more than 20 employers have already committed to the jobs fair. Representatives from regional universities, community colleges, and local Technology Centers will also be on hand to discuss training possibilities with prospective students and workers. Job opportunities
range from unskilled entry-level employment to skilled professional positions.
