Mission

Workers' Compensation is the oldest form of social insurance in the United States. In the late 1800s, its theory spread from Germany throughout Europe, and finally to the United States in 1910. Tennessee enacted its first workers' compensation laws in 1919. Today, every state provides workers' compensation to covered employees who are injured during the course of employment.
