Matrix Intensive Outpatient Treatment Manuals
- The Matrix Intensive
Outpatient Treatment (for People With Stimulant Use Disorders) manuals
consist of the Client's Handbook, Client's Treatment Companion, Counselor's
Treatment Manual and the Counselor's Family Education Manual. The Matrix
Model is an evidence based practice for treating persons with stimulant use
disorders and has been found effective for treating other substance abuse
disorders. Prior to implementing a program based on the Matrix Intensive
Outpatient Treatment Model, it is imperative that clinical staff and
supervisors receive training in the model from experienced trainers.
Tennessee Alcohol and Drug Best Practice Guidelines
– This document was
produced after a year long effort of research, discussion, and collaboration
of partnerships to develop a feasible, comprehensive guide for establishing
best practice procedures for all publicly funded substance abuse services in
Tennessee. The guidelines are intended to be used as a guide for all
publicly funded substance abuse services in the state including those funded
through TennCare/Medicaid, the Substance Abuse and Treatment Block Grant,
the Department of Children’s Services contracts, and others.
The Co-Occurring Disorder Training Manual
- The purpose of this manual is to introduce participants to the unique
treatment needs of patients who have a psychiatric disorder in combination
with an alcohol and other drug use disorder. The manual covers information
and treatment recommendations that can be used by health care providers in a
variety of settings (primary care clinics, hospitals, and mental health
centers).
State of Tennessee Plan for Best Practices and
Standards for Prevention Programs - This plan is a collaborative effort of the Prevention Advisory
Council and the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. The plan's
purpose is to improve the current prevention system through a comprehensive
and statewide initiative that is grounded in sound theory and effective
practice. Recommendations are made in the areas of policy, resources,
collaboration, and research/evaluation |
