STATEWIDE FAMILY SUPPORT NETWORK: The Statewide Family Support Network (SFSN) is funded under the name Family Support and Advocacy program. It was established in 1993 to educate and empower parents and caregivers to successfully "navigate" the many different agencies and systems for their children and youth with emotional and behavioral disorders. The SFSN subscribes to the core values of the system of care philosophy: services and supports should be provided in a coordinated manner that is family driven, youth guided, culturally and linguistically competent, and community based. Among these values are parents/caregivers as full partners in the development, implementation and evaluation of services for children and youth. This partnership should be not only at the individual level for each child, but also at program and policy making levels.
These services are available statewide. The Family Support and Advocacy program served approximately 70,000 people in some capacity in FY12, including support groups, booth displays, presentations and trainings.

Emotional Fitness Centers
The Emotional Fitness Centers of Tennessee are a faith-based, culturally sensitive mental health program that addresses utilization disparities and under-utilization of mental health services in West Tennessee by removing the stigma often associated with the need for mental health services in these under-served communities.
Services are provided in ten (10) local churched in the African-American and other communities strategically located throughout Shelby County. Outreach services are conducted in Fayette, Hardeman, and Tipton Counties. In FY12, there were 561 people who received screenings.
