Office of Research
The Office of Research engages in research and evaluation activities and is responsible for:
- Researching policy and program issues
- Assisting program directors in the evaluation of program effectiveness
- Providing data and analysis for decision support on mental health and substance abuse policy issues
- Overseeing designated federal grants including but not limited to the Data Infrastructure Grant
- Facilitating the development of best practice guidelines for a variety of populations
- Facilitating the creation of departmental standards in various domains such as adult mental health case management and crisis services
- Contributing to the protection and welfare of mental health consumers that participate in research by and/or for the department through the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
