Overview

The Division of Planning, Research & Forensics oversees and coordinates Department policy development, service planning and implementation. DPRF works collaboratively with all program and planning areas to develop policy through research, data collection and analysis, and program evaluation, which includes:

• Development of the Department’s Three-Year Plan, the F&A Strategic Plan, the Mental Health Community Services Block Grant Application, the Implementation Report for the MH Block Grant, the Grant Source newsletter, the Grant Collection database, and coordinating the statewide Planning and Policy and the Regional Planning and Policy Councils
  
• Research to support decision making and evaluation of services
  
• Oversight of outpatient and inpatient forensic evaluation, treatment and outpatient juvenile court evaluations
  
• Development and update of controlled substance rules
