Volunteers Make a DifferenceMaking a difference in the lives of our neighbors is a value that is embedded in Tennessee's rich history. Known as the "Volunteer State," Tennessee has seen its sons and daughters sacrifice their time, money and in some instances, their lives toward the needs of those less fortunate or in harm's way. When concerned groups and individuals unite together for a common goal, ways of thinking change for the better, needs are met and challenges overcome. If you wish to make a difference, there are many ways for an individual or group to contribute toward the many volunteer needs of the service recipients and consumers with a mental illness, developmental disability or mental retardation. If you, or your group, would care to interact, socialize, entertain, provide support staff or become a vital contact with the community, please follow the listed web links to the respective contacts for those needs. If you would like your group-related volunteer needs added, please send an e-mail with your specific requests and contact information to: . |
