Underground Utility Damage Enforcement Board To Begin Processing Complaints

Nashville, Tennessee - (September 26, 2016) The Underground Utility Damage Enforcement Board will begin processing complaints of the Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act on October 1, 2016, with enforcement actions to follow.

The purpose of the act is to prevent harm to people, property, and underground utility facilities during excavation and demolition.

Underground Utility Damage Enforcement Board Members include (*Executive Committee Members): Kevin Tubberville*, Chairman, Wayne Hastings, Vice Chairman, Bill Hollin, Eddie Hood, Craig Jensen, Kenneth King, Kevin Kruchinski, Bob Lambert*, Scott Niehaus, Bob Pitts, Kevin Raley, Steve Raper*, Tom Suggs, Rick Tunnell and Bill Turner.

Tennessee Regulatory Authority officials remind anyone about to dig or engage in any excavation activity that could damage underground utilities to call (811) before getting started.
