Titling an Imported Vehicle or Moped

To title an imported vehicle, you need the following:

Photo of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards Label (must be clear and readable). This sticker is required on all imported motor vehicles that have properly entered the United States and should read "This vehicle conforms to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in effect on the date of manufacture shown above." (The expression " U.S. " or " U.S.A. " may be inserted before the word.)

HS-7 Form (US DOT required)

The County Clerk will verify the VIN with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 's database. If the VIN does not match your MSO/MCO it cannot be verified and is not acceptable.
