Trooper Todd M. Larkins lost his life after being struck by a tractor trailer as he was making a traffic stop. Trooper Larkins had initiated a traffic stop on I-40 and had exited his marked vehicle shortly before the crash. |

Trooper Calvin W. Jenks lost his life after being shot during a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 54. Trooper Jenks asked the vehicle occupants if there were drugs in the car at which time they opened fire, striking him in the head and once in the body. |
