AN ACT Urging the Department of Transportation to widen a certain segment of State Highway 70.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the Department of Transportation is hereby strongly urged to continue to widen to four lanes that segment of State Highway 70 from Waverly in Humphreys County to Dickson in Dickson County.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.

Pursuant to Article III, Section 18, of the Constitution of the State of Tennessee, the Governor had Senate Bill No. 2211 in his possession longer than ten (10) days, so therefore the bill becomes law without the Governor's signature.
