AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-50-321, relative to driver license reinstatement fees assessed against first-time applicants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-50-321(c)(2), is amended by adding the following at the end of the subdivision:

No first-time applicant who is eighteen (18) years of age or younger suspended pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-50-502(a)(10), shall be assessed a reinstatement fee by the department.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
