AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 68, Chapter 221, Part 4, relative to persons authorized to perform percolation tests for subsurface sewage systems.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 68-221-403(c)(2), is amended by deleting the language and punctuation "registered professional environmentalist, or surveyor" and by substituting instead the language "registered professional environmentalist, professional geologist, registered environmental health specialist/registered sanitarian with more than five (5) years' experience in a subsurface sewage regulatory program and who has received credentials from the National Environmental Health Association, or surveyor".

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
