AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 57-5-301, relative to the sale of certain alcoholic beverages to minors.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 57-5-301(a)(1), is amended by deleting the first sentence and substituting instead the following new language:

( )( ) A permit holder engaging in the business regulated hereunder or any employee thereof shall not make or permit to be made any sales to minors.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, the public welfare requiring it.
