AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-5-2005, relative to collection of delinquent municipal property taxes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-5-2005(a), is amended by deleting the words and figure "by May 1 of the year after the taxes become due" and substituting the words and figure "by April 1 of the second calendar year after the taxes become due".

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
