AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 41-21-235(b), relative to sex offenders.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 41-21-235(b), is amended by deleting the subsection in its entirety and substituting instead the following language:

(b) Successful participation and completion of such treatment program shall be a consideration for parole from a correctional institution.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.

Pursuant to Article III, Section 18, of the Constitution of the State of Tennessee, the Governor had Senate Bill No. 2673 in his possession longer than ten (10) days, so therefore the bill becomes law without the Governor's signature.
