AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 40-32-101, relative to expunging public records of persons arrested and released without being charged.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 40-32-101(a)(1), is amended by adding the following words and punctuation between the words "reversed," and "shall":

"and all public records of a person who was arrested and released without being charged,"

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
