AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-2-203, relative to the powers of local boards of education.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-2-203(b), is amended by adding the following new language to be designated as section (b)(12):

(12) contract for the management and operation of the alternative schools provided for at Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-6-3402 with any other agency of local government.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
