Substituted for: House Bill No. 196

AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 64, Chapter 1, relative to the West Fork Drakes Creek Dam and Reservoir Interstate Authority.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-218(a), is amended by deleting item (24) in its entirety.

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29, is amended by adding the following as a new section:

Section . (a) The following governmental entities shall terminate on June 30, 2005:

( ) West Fork Drakes Creek Dam and Reservoir Interstate Authority, created by Section 64-1-901;

(b) Each department, commission, board, agency, or council of state government created during calendar year 2004 shall terminate on June 30, 2005.

(c) Any governmental entity which has been terminated under this section may be continued, reestablished, or restructured in accordance with this chapter.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, the public welfare requiring it.
