Substituted for: House Bill No. 1737

AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 6, Part 3, relative to the taxability of certain concept sketches and models.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 6, Part 3, is amended by adding the following new section thereto:

Section ___. There is exempt from the tax imposed by this chapter any concept sketch, drawing, or model by an architect, engineer, landscape architect or interior designer which is used in the development of a prototype for manufacture or production.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, the public welfare requiring it.
