AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-422, relative to nitrous oxide.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-422(a), is amended by adding the following between the word "purposes" and the punctuation "." at the end of the subsection:

or to the use of nitrous oxide to implement the distribution of beverages or other foodstuffs for commercial purposes.

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-422(d), is amended by inserting the words and punctuation "nitrous oxide," between the word and punctuation "ketone," and the word and punctuation "pentachlorophenol,"

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, the public welfare requiring it.
