AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 40, Chapter 30, relative to the post-conviction defender commission.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-218(a), is amended by deleting item (27) in its entirety.
SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-222(a), is amended by adding a new item thereto, as follows:
( ) Post-conviction defender commission, created by Section 40-30-303;
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, the public welfare requiring it.
