AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 2, relative to the creation of metropolitan government charter commissions.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 7-2-104(a), is amended by deleting from the first sentence the language "thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000)" and substituting instead the language "twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000)".

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
