Substituted for: House Bill No. 1001

AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-105; Section 3-6-106; Section 3-6-107 and Section 3-6-104, relative to lobbying.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-107, is amended by deleting the language "and sworn to".

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-106(a), is amended by deleting from the first sentence the word "sworn" and substituting instead the word "signed".

Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-106(a), is further amended by adding after the first sentence the following:

The report shall be made under oath and shall contain a statement that a false statement on the report is subject to the penalties of perjury.

SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-105(b), is amended by deleting from the second sentence the language "January 10" and substituting instead the language "January 31".

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
