Substituted for: House Bill No. 629

AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 35, Part 1, relative to private protective services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 62-35-118(a), is amended by deleting the words and figure "thirty (30) days" and by substituting instead the words and figure "sixty (60) days".

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 62-35-130(b), is amended by deleting the language "five thousand dollars ($5,000)" and by substituting instead the language "two thousand dollars ($2,000)".

SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 62-35-130(c), is amended by deleting the language "five thousand dollars ($5,000)" and by substituting instead the language "two thousand dollars ($2,000)".

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, the public welfare requiring it.
