AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-12-122, relative to motor vehicle liability policies.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-12-122(e)(1), is amended by changing the semicolon at the end of the subdivision to a period and by adding the following language:

Further, absent a finding of fault on the part of the insured, such policy may not be canceled or annulled solely due to involvement in a not at fault accident;

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
