NASHVILLE – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained an indictment for a Lebanon woman accused of misusing her position as a friend’s Power of Attorney for financial benefit.

At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating Debra Lynne Lamberson on March 30th. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that over a five-year period, while serving as Power of Attorney for an ailing friend, Lamberson took more than $340,000 of her friend’s savings for her own benefit. The investigation further revealed Lamberson used the money to purchase plastic surgery, vacations, and clothing, along with supporting her home-based business as a sales promoter for Body by Vi.

On Monday, the Wilson County Grand Jury returned an indictment, charging the 52-year-old with one count of Theft over $60,000. Today, a TBI Agent arrested her and booked her into the Wilson County Jail. She was subsequently released after posting $5,000 bond.
