TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS Tornado and Severe Weather Event March 2020
The Department of Financial Institution is in contact with financial institutions located in the communities affected by the tragic tornados of March 3, 2020. TDFI is aware that affected financial institutions are operating through their main offices or other branch locations not affected by the tornados and is facilitating communications between these financial institutions and government agencies.
Commissioner Gonzales states, “On behalf of our department, I want to offer our greatest sympathies to those families who have suffered losses in the affected communities. Our Department is at TEMA and we offer any assistance that we can to the citizens of Tennessee and our regulated institutions.”
The Department will continue to monitor the situation and is partnering with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and other state and federal agencies in this effort.
