Smart Commute Swipe N Ride

The Swipe N Ride Program provides a transit pass for state government employees who work in the Metro Nashville and Memphis area to use for work trips. This program is funded by the Department of Transportation as a means to improve air quality through reduced congestion, with the added benefit for state employees. Nashville state government employees who participate in the program can ride all Nashville Metro Transit Authority (MTA) and Regional Transit Authority (RTA) buses as well as the Music City Star commuter train free of charge. In Memphis, participating employees can ride the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) buses, including the downtown trolleys.

Employees must fill out an application to receive a Swipe N Ride card.
