Middle Tennessee Weekly Construction Lane Closure July 2-8, 2015

BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

From now through September 2015, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on 12th Avenue northbound, including the sidewalk and bike lane, to allow worker access to the median of I-40. 
Monday July 6 through Friday July 24, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions, between Herman Street and Charlotte Avenue, so that concrete barrier can be set and demolition may be performed.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

From now through Friday July 31, Ewing Drive will be closed from Hillhurst Drive to Richmond Hills Drive for bridge construction. Detours are in place.
Monday July 6 through Friday July 10, 9PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 southbound at MM 92 (Old Hickory Blvd) to allow for the installation of noise wall posts and panels.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

Thursday July 2 and Monday July 6  through Wednesday July 8, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pole installation, electrical service work, fiber optic cabling installation, conduit installation/proving/repairs, and staging of overhead sign structures.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July , 9AM-3PM (excluding holiday weekend), There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.

 

DAVIDSON AND WILSON COUNTIES, Misc Safety Improvements on Shute Lane/Saundersville Road from SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) to Nonaville Road

Thursday June 25 through Wednesday July 1, 7PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Shute Lane at Saundersville Road for paving operations. Flaggers will be utilized.
Monday July 6 through Saturday July 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on Saundersville Road at Saundersville Ferry Road in Mt Juliet for grading and paving of shoulder.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 7AM-5PM (excluding holiday weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations, and utility relocation.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Pavement Repair on I-65 from South of Honey Run Creek to North of Highland Road

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 8PM-6AM (excluding holiday weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions, from MM 114 to MM 117, for paving operations.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM (excluding holiday weekend), There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound from MM 97 to MM 110 and I-65 northbound from MM 93.77 to MM 108 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

Tuesday July 7 and Wednesday July 8, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Old Fort Pkwy (SR 96) and College Street for potential underground utility crossings. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of I-24 from East of SR 840 to Stones River Bridge

Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, from MM 74 to MM 79, in order to pave the roadway. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.
Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 10PM-6AM, The I-24 eastbound on- and off-ramps at Medical Center Parkway and SR 96 will be temporarily closed in order to pave the roadway.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Ramp Improvements at Interchange of I-24 East and Exit 81A (US 231/SR 10/Church Street)

Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on the I-24 eastbound off-ramp at Exit 81A and on Church Street southbound at the top of the ramp in order for crews to set barrier rail and attenuators. Traffic will be shifted onto the existing shoulder of the off-ramp and the left lane of Church Street S. Troopers will be utilized.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road) at Intersection of Stop Thirty Road and Old Shackle Island Road

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM (excluding holiday weekend), There will be a temporary, intermittent lane closure on New Shackle Road at Stop Thirty Road to allow trucks hauling material to enter the roadway. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 31E (SR 6) from North of SR 52 to the Kentucky State line  

Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 in both directions, from north of SR 52 in Westmoreland to the Kentucky State line, for guardrail and rumble strip installation.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Maury County line to North of SR 840  

Wednesday July 8, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, from MM 53 to MM 59.5, for de-grassing and milling operations. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM (excluding holiday weekend), Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM (excluding holiday weekend), There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 from MM 30 to MM 34 for trenching and conduit installation.
Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 9PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 840 from MM 28 to MM 31 to install bridge conduit.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Interchange Lighting at I-40 and SR 171 (Mt Juliet Road)  

Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in order to install underground conduit. All lanes will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 109 from North of US 70 (SR 24/ Lebanon Road) to the Cumberland River Bridge  

Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 for paving operations.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM, (excluding holiday weekend), There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:

Davidson County

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 8PM-5AM, (excluding holiday weekend), There will be mobile operations in various locations for sweeping operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
Monday July 6 through Wednesday July 8, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Briley Parkway (SR 155) in both directions, between County Hospital Road and James Ave, in order to mill the roadway.
Tuesday July 7, 10AM-12PM, There will be a lane closure on I-440 eastbound off-ramp at Exit 1 (US 70S/SR 1/West End Ave) for concrete repair.  One lane will remain open.
Tuesday July 7, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions at MM 87 on the bridge over Trinity Lane for deck survey. Two lanes will remain open.

Davidson County

From now through Monday August 31, 7PM–6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) northbound, from 26th Street to Hadley Ave in the Lakewood community in order for Cumberland Valley Construction to install 16” transmission water line.
From now through Thursday July 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Nolensville Pike), near Walsh Road, in order for Bechtel Infrastructure-Google Fiber to bore under the roadway.
From now through Thursday July 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Nolensville Pike) eastbound, between Walsh Road and Woodycrest Ave, in order to perform boring and potholing operations.
From now through Thursday July 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Road) northbound, between Fesslers Lane and Fairfield Drive, in order for Bechtel Infrastructure-Google Fiber to perform boring and potholing operations.
From now through Thursday July 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 31 (8th Avenue South) westbound, between Palmer Place and Olympic Ave, in order for Bechtel Infrastructure-Google Fiber to perform staging vehicles, dumping spoils, boring, and potholing operations.
From now through Thursday July 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 31 (8th Ave South) westbound, between Edgehill Ave and Wedgewood Ave, in order to perform boring and potholing operations.

 

Maury County

Sunday July 12, 6:30AM-11AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 at MM 52.3 in order for Middle TN Electric to remove and replace existing electric cable and pole.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

City of Brentwood / Stansell Electric 

Thursday July 2 through Wednesday July 8, 9AM-3PM (excluding  holiday weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Road), from South of Chadwick Drive to Executive Center Drive in Brentwood, to install drilled shaft foundations.
