ATTENTION PROVIDERS: ALL Program Year 2016 attestations are due to TennCare by April 30, 2017 at 11:59 P.M. Central Time to be considered for approval. Attestations received after this time will not be reviewed and will be returned to you as untimely.

If you have previously submitted your attestation and it has been returned to you for correction, you have met the timeliness requirement. However, we highly encourage you to make the necessary correction(s) and return your attestation for further processing as soon as possible. Who is eligible to participate in the TennCare Medicaid EHR Provider Incentive Program (PIPP)?

These Medicaid professionals (EPs) are eligible to participate to in the PIPP (see 42 CFR § 495.304(b)).

  • Physicians (both Medical and Osteopathic)
  • Dentists
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Certified Nurse Midwives
  • Physician’s Assistants (PAs) when the PA works in an FQHC led by a PA, or in an RHC so led by a PA.

These Medicaid hospitals (EHs) are eligible to participate in the PIPP (42 CFR § 495.304(a)).

  • An Acute Care Hospital (where the average length of stay is less than 25 days)
  • A Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
  • A Children’s Hospital

Keep in mind that registration and attestation is for EACH provider separately. While the EHR incentive payment can be directed to a group practice or clinic, each provider must separately register and attest.
