link below. The degree programs are classified based
on the Classification
of Instructional Programs (2000 Edition)
as published by the U.S. Department of Education,
National Center for Education Statistics. In addition,
the HEGIS Taxonomy of Instructional Programs is utilized
for the purposes of major taxonomy. The HEGIS taxonomy
preceded the Classification of Instructional Programs.
The
conversion to the 2000 Classification of Instructional
Programs is effective with the reporting of the summer
2004 student enrollment and the 2004-05 degree completers.
