The Tennessee Higher Education Commission
is committed to the principles outlined in Title VI of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964, which states:
No
person in the United States shall, on the ground of race,
color, or national origin, be excluded from participation
in, be denied benefits of, or be subject to discrimination
under any program or activity receiving federal financial
assistance.
The
Commission prohibits discrimination in any manner related
to institutions, non-profit organizations or program participants
receiving services or benefits under federal or state programs.
Additionally, the Commission reaffirms its policies and
commitment to afford all individuals the same opportunity
to participate in federally financially assisted programs
in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
If
you believe you have been subject to discrimination based
on your race, color or national origin by anyone at the
Commission or in any program funded by the Commission in
violation of Title VI, please contact Will Burns at Will.Burns@state.tn.us.
